PHONE: The phone number at Sea Lure is 252.261.8575. We ask that you use the phone for local calling only and please use your cell phone for any long distance calls (exception being if you are calling us!). Note: It is not necessary to dial the area code when placing local calls.
CLEANING SERVICE: We offer a cleaning service for an additional charge of $60.00. This is the ONLY added fee to your weekly rental rate as state and county taxes are included. You have the option to clean the home yourself (all cleaning supplies are provided) or have the cleaning service take care of it for you!
LINENS: Don’t forget to bring your own bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels. There are 2 queen beds (master and sleep sofa) and 2 twins beds.
PARKING: Cars must be parked in the two spaces between the white lines in front of the house. Please do not park in front of an adjacent unit. If necessary, cars may be parked in front of the clubhouse. During the summer months, a parking permit is required, which can be obtained at the clubhouse.
RECREATION FACILITIES: Hours of Operation for the Clubhouse are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Clubhouse and the pool area are “No Smoking” areas. Smoking is only permitted in the courtyard. Food and glass bottles are not allowed around the pool, but cans and coolers are permitted. Please observe the rules posted around the pool.
DECK RAILINGS: Towels and clothing are not to be hung over the deck railings. You will find a retractable clothes line in the garage.
SEPTIC SYSTEMS: Our home operates on a septic system so please do not put grease, cooking oil, or garbage down the sink drain. Coffee cans are under the sink for disposal of any grease or oil. Do not flush any non-degradable items down the toilet as they are likely to block the main waste line. Also, please do not use Ivory soap as this product will damage the septic system.
GRILLING: A gas grill is provided for your BBQ enjoyment. Grilling is only allowed on the pavement or grassy area outside of the garage. Do not operate the grill inside the garage. Please clean the grill grate after you’ve finished cooking and turn off the propane. Grill utensils are located in the drawer in the garage. Although we always start the summer season with a full propane tank, if you have to get a new propane tank, we’ll be glad to reimburse you for the cost. Propane tanks can be purchased at Ace Hardware (MP 3.5).
TRASH: You’ll find trash dumpsters located between Buildings A & B and in front of Building D. Recycling is not easy at the beach as there are no separate pickups. For those interested in recycling, the Kitty Hawk Recycling Center is located on Kitty Hawk Road near the Dare County Boat ramp (follow signs). Their hours of operation are Monday – Saturday from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
