The Chesapeake Expressway, which is a 16 mile, four lane divided highway, is a $2.00 Toll Road.  It is well worth spending the $$ as it bypasses the two lane business route. Note: If you have Smart Tag or E-ZPass, move to your left lane as you approach the toll plaza.
  • Toll road will end just prior to the North Carolina border. Continue on 168 South.
  • Approximately 20 miles into North Carolina, Route 168 will turn into Route 158. No turns required – just stay straight.
  • You will be approaching the Outer Banks when you cross the Wright Memorial Bridge over the Currituck Sound. Once over the bridge, stay to your right and continue towards Nags Head/Cape Hatteras.
  • After going through several stoplights, you will enter Kitty Hawk at Mile Post (MP) 4. Be in the LEFT lane.
  • Look for a 7-11 on your right - U.S. Post Office on your left. Go through the stoplight - Kitty Hawk Road. Turn left just past Sunburn Sports Bar & Grill and before the shopping center into the Sea Dunes complex.
  • Bear left in front of building "G".  2nd building on the right will be building “C" - number 4!!!

You're now HOME for the week!!  We hope you enjoy your stay!!

Detour - During the summer months, if traffic is moving slowly after you cross the Wright Memorial Bridge, take a right at the 2nd stoplight – The Woods Road.  Follow several miles to stop sign, and take a left on Kitty Hawk Road.  At your 1st (and only) stoplight, you will be at the intersection of Route 158 with the 7-11 on your right.  Turn right and get in your left lane as the entrance to Sea Dunes in on your left just past the Post Office and Sunburn Restaurant.
